About our Restaurant

From the moment you walk through the doors, you know you're in for a different kind of dining experience. When owner Chris Bradshaw and partner Allen Aldridge opened the first Blue Plate restaurant on November 9, 2004, they set out to create a menu with something for everyone—each dish tastefully prepared in the true Southern tradition.

After more than a decade of co-owning restaurants in Tuscaloosa and Montgomery, Chris returned to his hometown of Dothan to do what he does best—bring family and friends together around the table to enjoy the kind of food and hospitality that can only be found in the South.

At The Blue Plate, the spirited atmosphere, friendly service, and hearty portions create a place where guests can slow down, relax, and reconnect. In today's fast-paced world, it's comforting to know there's a spot where families can gather, share stories, and enjoy great Southern cooking—whether dining in or taking advantage of our convenient take-out options.
